Rajant Introduces Sagar Chandra as Vice President of Business Development, Latin America

Mining Industry veteran previously lead successful expansion efforts in Latin American

Malvern, PA – February 18, 2014 – Rajant Corporation, the pioneer of Kinetic Mesh™ networks, today announced Sagar Chandra has joined the team as Vice President of Business Development, Latin America. In his new role, Mr. Chandra will be responsible for strategic business development in Latin America. “We are proud to welcome Sagar to the Rajant family,” said Bob Schena, Founder and CEO of Rajant Corporation. “Sagar’s background and experience will be invaluable and we look forward to his contributions in continuing the company’s growth in the burgeoning Latin American mining market.” Sagar possesses more than 16 years of experience in providing Fleet Management and Mine Management Systems to global mining customers. He has extensive experience working with large mining companies in North and South America including BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Barrick, Imperial Oil, Cliffs Natural Resources, Codelco, Vale and others. “Rajant offers an unparalleled solution, reputation, and team of dedicated professionals which continue to transform the mining industry. I am excited to be a part of this team,” said Mr. Chandra. “I look forward to applying both my expertise and experience in accelerating Rajant’s expansion within the Latin American mining market.” Mr. Chandra joins Rajant after serving as Services Director, Americas for Geovia, formerly known as Gemcom, where he was responsible for increasing the revenues and utilization of the Americas’ services team. Prior to that, he spent the bulk of his career with Modular Mining Systems holding a variety of titles, including most recently General Manager, North America. While at Modular, Mr. Chandra helped grow Modular’s North America business and increased the new customer base. Sagar holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as an MBA from the University of Arizona.
