Electronics Manufacturing Engineer

VETERANS PREFERRED, SEEKING EE and/or ME

Candidate must have experience in engineering support within a manufacturing operation. Hands-on knowledge of electro-mechanical manufacturing and assembly are a must.   One must have strong organizational skills with a sense of urgency to drive things to completion, and the ability to communicate with team members across various disciplines. You will be transferring designs out of Development, and into production with a Contract Manufacturer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Primary liaison providing technical guidance to production operations and suppliers.
  • Operations lead for new product introductions and engineering design changes (ECN/ECR).
  • Create an efficient production process and work instructions to build and ship custom configured products within market-driven lead time.
  • Work with other engineering groups to purchase, design, build, and certify new equipment and processes. Transition new products from development to manufacturing and support startup activities upon release to market.
  • Participate in the product engineering development cycle with deep involvement during various stages of design review.
  • Review drawings, blueprints, sketches, schematics, manuals or sample parts to establish an appropriate manufacturing process.
  • Work directly with suppliers and contract manufacturers to address manufacturing issues and implement solutions.
  • Champion of the MRP/ERP system; responsible for creating and maintaining BOM and routing information.
  • Support Quality team on investigation and corrective action for product quality issues.
  • Act as a team leader with excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Provide technical know-how and drive best practices for manufacturability.
  • Support the needs of other job functions (logistics, warehouse, technical sales, instrumentation) within a small team structure.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • BS degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Prefer cross-discipline EE/ME experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a manufacturing function
  • Electro-mechanical and/or component level printed circuit board production experience
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office products and familiarity with ERP systems.

Regional Sales Director – Oil & Gas and PetroChem Sectors

Rajant is a leader in mission critical communication solutions in challenging, mobile environments, such as Military, Mining, Oil & Gas and Container Ports. Our success has been achieved by selling through channel distribution, managed by a team of Regional Sales Directors.

In order to further contribute to our growth goals, Rajant is recruiting additional Regional Sales Directors focused on the Oil & Gas and PetroChem sectors located in TX. Rajant’s Kinetic Mesh provides built in redundancy for fixed O&G customers as well as aerial coverage with UAV’s for pipeline monitoring and remote well site management, all with Broadband Radios.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Actively attract, recruit, manage, and develop new integration partners.
  • Support existing integration partners to help them accelerate their own sales growth.
  • Generate new end customer opportunities for our existing integration partners
  • Support our Distribution partners and help them grow their Rajant sales
  • Support O&G application integration with Rajant’s Kinetic Mesh Radios
  • Provide input on go to market strategies
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (quotas)
  • Work with the marketing department to develop Partner Sales strategies to enhance Rajant’s reputation.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding Rajant products, services, processes and procedures.
  • Support sales partners in front of end user customers
  • Travel as required to build new, and nurture existing relationships with prospective and existing Sales Partners and end user clients when required
  • Attend company and team meetings, as well as onsite and offsite trainings and events
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as required

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary for an individual to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable amounts of training are provided from both a technical and sales technique perspective.

Educational & Skills Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience in O&G
  • Relevant RF Wireless Product experience – preferably in external/industrial environments
  • Knowledge and experience of IP Networking
  • SCADA/PLC/RTU experience preferred
  • Indirect Channel & Distribution Experience desired
  • Excellent communication, presentation, writing and editorial abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience selling value vs. price
  • The ability to work without supervision and manage a territory efficiently
  • A college degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record of Top Performing sales success
  • Hunter and Farmer experience is critical as Rajant Sales Directors are both responsible to find new accounts and then manage, maintain and grow existing and new accounts.

Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer will work with both the Sales/Business Development team as well as the Development/Engineering team to bring Rajant Technology to the field.  The Sales Engineer’s responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Conduct network audits and site surveys of customer sites.
  • Provide support to our technical partners and resellers in network design
  • Provide support for Proof of Concepts in the field
  • Provide quality training to our reseller/distribution network
  • Provide technical support to sales staff for vetting opportunities
  • Interview and evaluate new resellers to represent the Rajant brand

Qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Network Engineering/RF/Wireless Engineering/ Systems Engineering.
  • At least 6-10 years of experience with Wireless Networking/RF
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP certifications preferred.
  • Experience in conducting technical training.
